Foiled Work

This gallery includes a selection of pieces that have been created using the copper foil technique pioneered by Louis Comfort Tiffany. Each piece has to be shaped very precisely prior to being wrapped in copper foil, then the pieces are soldered together along all the seams.

All of my foiled pieces are also wired around their outer edge. This means that they are unlikely to pull apart, unlike pieces that don't follow this method of construction.

These pieces are surprisingly strong, despite their fairly delicate appearance.
